David Bryce, who was Trends editor of the journal for the past three years, has taken over the role of Editor-in-Chief with immediate effect.
Professor and University Research Chair in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance at the University of Ottawa, he graduated from Dalhousie University in 2002 after working together with Rod Wasylishen. Following a PostDoc with Ad Bax at the NIH in Bethesda, USA, David started his own group at the University of Ottawa in 2005. He has received numerous awards, including the 2014 Keith Laidler Award from the Canadian Society for Chemistry. David and his group are especially interested in solid-state NMR spectroscopy of low-frequency quadrupolar nuclei, halogen bonding, double-rotation NMR, biomolecular NMR spectroscopy, and solidstate NMR of inorganic and bioinorganic systems.
